Тамбовский филиал МГУКИ занимается подготовкой отличных специалистов престижнейших специальностей для муниципальных, коммерческих и государственных предприятий и организаций социальной, культурной и смежных сфер деятельности. В этом высшем учебном заведении можно получить второе или третье высшее. В этом высшем учебном заведении производится повышение квалификации, профессиональная переподготовка, подготовка к поступлению в ВУЗы.
Это учебное заведение обладает обширной материально-технической базой, состоит из двух зданий, общая площадь которых составляет более 4 тысяч квадратных метров. На территории ВУЗа размещены административные, подсобные помещения, аудитории для проведения лекций и групповых занятий, библиотека, читальный и актовый зал, компьютерные классы, лаборатории. Обучение в этом высшем учебном заведении проходит полностью в Тамбове, по очной и заочной форме. Студенты, имеющие
среднее профессиональное образование по соответствующей специальности, записываются на первый курс с сокращенным сроком обучения. Обучение осуществляется на бюджетной и на контрактной, платной основе. На весь период обучения учащийся ВУЗа получает отсрочку от службы в армии. Выпускники получают диплом государственного образца.
